Leeds Christian Postgraduates’ Fellowship is the union of two groups of Christian postgrads in Leeds. Both groups are hosted by the Universities Chaplaincy in Leeds.
The Bible study group is an offshoot of Leeds University Union Christian Union (LUUCU). Some of its members are former Leeds University undergrads who have continued to postgraduate study; others are newcomers. During term time the group sometimes follows the same Bible study programme as LUUCU, moving to other material during vacations.
The topical discussion group was formed in 2006 to bring together postgrads from across Leeds for discussion, prayer and Bible study. Today our meetings draw a diverse range of students and academics from many parts of the world and various Christian traditions, as we explore our calling as members of Leeds’ universities.
The topical discussion group is currently led by Kevin Macnish, a doctoral student in ethics, and Richard Gunton, a post-doctoral researcher in ecology, both at the University of Leeds.
Both groups encourage development in leadership skills and critical thinking. The following links indicate some of our sources of support and encouragement.
